Samsung to release Galaxy Mega on AT&T, Sprint, and US Cellular

Samsung-Galaxy-MegaNow, I don’t want to be the one to say that smartphones have just gotten a little bit on the large side, but you only have to look at Samsung’s Galaxy Mega line of smartphones to make the arguments. Fortunately for large screened smartphone lovers, AT&T, Sprint, and US Cellular don’t appear to agree with me, as all have just announced that they have officially signed on to carry the Galaxy Mega 6.3″ smartphone… because the Galaxy Note II just isn’t large enough.

All of the US variants of the smartphone appear to be running Android 4.2.2 – unfortunately no Android 4.3 here – and carry a seemingly subpar 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, below event what the decidedly midrange Moto X uses. While neither Sprint nor US Cellular have confirmed pricing for the Galaxy Mega, AT&T has announced that they’ll be charging just $149 for the handset, below the $199 asking price for the teeny-tiny-in-comparison Galaxy S4.

So what say you, smartphone lovers. Do you think there’s a market for a 6.3-inch smartphone? Let us know in the comments!
